Five Stars! SONA Receives Its First Public Review
Our very first public review came from a guest celebrating a birthday, with praise for the welcome, the surroundings and food that was "second to none".
There's always a little nervousness when you open the doors of a brand-new restaurant. You can test, prepare and rehearse, but ultimately it's the opinion of your paying guests that really matters. So, when SONA at The Celtic Manor Resort in Newport received its very first public review, there was a little extra excitement, particularly when we saw five stars!
Our first reviewer, David Vaughan, joined us to celebrate a birthday and praised the warm welcome from our team, the beautiful surroundings and relaxed atmosphere, describing the food as "second to none". His scores also gave our team top marks across the board: exactly the kind of experience we set out to create when developing SONA.
One review may only be the beginning, but your first is always going to be special. For a completely new restaurant, new team and new contemporary Indian dining concept, receiving five stars from our very first public guest was a wonderful moment, and a standard for everyone at SONA to keep striving towards.
